Definition:

Reflexive pronouns always rename the noun in the sentence.

*Note: intensive pronouns can be very similar to reflexive pronouns.

Reflexive Pronouns:

myself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourself, themselves

Examples:

1. Mary looked at herself in the mirror. (*Note: Mary is the noun and herself is the reflexive pronoun.)

2. You must protect yourself.

3. We must look within ourselves for courage.
