Class 13-4: Indefinite Pronouns

Definition: Indefinite pronouns replace nouns that are not specific. |
Indefinite Pronouns: all, another, any, anybody, anyone, anything, both, each, either, everybody, everyone, everything, few, many, neither, nobody, none, no one, nothing, one, several, some, somebody, someone, something |
Examples: 1. I gave all my money to him. 2. Both of them are happy. 3. Everybody must sign the form. |
Indefinite Pronoun Rules
All – is 100% of the idea. |
Another – is asking you to choose a different option. |
Any – is when you don’t care which option is chosen. |
Anybody – is anyone, and there is no preference of what person is chosen. Any is the same as anyone. |
Anyone – is when there is no preference of what person is chosen. Any is the same as anybody. |
Anything – is when there is no preference of what thing is chosen. Note: a thing is not a person. |
Both – includes (two) ideas, things, people, or places. |
Each – is when you want to separate, but you still want 100%. |

Either – is when you have two options, and you do not care which option you get. |
Everybody – is 100% of all the people. |
Everyone – is 100% of all the people. |
Everything – is 100%. Note: a thing is not a person. |
Few – is three (3). |
Many– is 50% to 70%. |
Neither – is when you have two options and you choose nothing. |
Nobody – is none, and no person will be accepted. Same as no one. |
None – is 0%. |
Noone – is when no person will be accepted. No one is the same as nobody. |
Nothing – is 0%. |
One – is simply one (1). |
Several – is three (3). |
Some – is three (3). |
Somebody – is whena decision needs to be made on which person is chosen, but you do not care who is chosen. |
Someone – isan unknown person, and you do not know the person’s name. |
Something – is when a choice needs to be made on which thing is chosen, but you do not care what is chosen. |
