Class 12-7: Enough followed by a Noun(s) + Infinitive
Rule: Use enough followed by a noun(s) + infinitive in order to express the maximum completion of a specific action. Enough states that the speaker has done all of the action and cannot do anymore, or chooses not to do anymore. | Examples: 1. Tom applied for enough scholarships to pay for school. 2. John earned enough money to pay for his trip. 3. Jake bought enough wood to start a fire. |
Sentence Structure Formula: enough + noun(s) + infinitive Gloria does not have enough apples to make the pie. |
