Class 12-5: Be Followed by an Adjective + an Infinitive

Rule: Use be followed by an adjective + an infinitive in order to describe their emotion towards a direct action.	Examples: 1. He is glad to be done. 2. They were good to go. 3. She was quick to act.
Sentence Structure Formula: be + adjective + infinitive Susan is excited to move.

It’s going to be sad to move away from my hometown, but my mom said I should realize how great it is to go to a new city. “Other kids would be fortunate to have a new city with new friends!” is what she keeps telling me. “You’d be amazed to see how many friends I already have here,” is what I keep telling her. I’ll be certain to keep in touch with everyone though. I guess I should be grateful to at least go to a city that is on the beach. My older sister is really excited. She thinks our hometown is so boring, but I think she should be proud to live here! She doesn’t think I should be scared to move, but I love my house, and I love my friends! I’ll be sorry to leave everything behind! I guess I have to be willing to try something new. She said I will be relieved to know that my new school is in walking distance to our new house. I guess that makes me feel a little better.
